Lindsey Young
As museum archivist, Lindsey is responsible for assembling, cataloging, and preserving the History Museum’s archival materials. She is dedicated to creating collections that represent Springfield and Greene County’s diverse history and using these collections to build state-of-the-art exhibits and provide top-of-the-line research material for the community. Lindsey has an M.A. in History and a B.A. in Classics from Missouri State University, and she has been working and learning in the archive field for nearly five years. She currently serves on the board for the Missouri Association of Museums and Archives, and she is an active member of the Society of American Archivists and the American Association of State and Local History. Lindsey’s passion as an archivist is to ensure that the archival collections are diverse, inclusive, and accessible.
