Your student will learn about World War II and how it impacted Springfield and southwest Missouri. Trunk contents aid in telling the stories of Springfield natives who served in the military during WWII, women’s roles during the war, O’Reilly General Hospital, and more. A few items found in the trunk include reproductions of a US Navy winder uniform, military issue sewing kit, and toilet paper rations.
