With your donation of $100 to the History Museum on the Square, you can recognize a local veteran or active member. These images and messages will be showcased within Beyond the Camouflage: Global Uniforms | Local Stories. This temporary exhibit showcases uniforms from across the globe and throughout time to tell stories of Springfield, MO’s community.

You still have time to honor a veteran from May 24 – July 23, 2023.

You can honor a local veteran or active member and support the History Museum on the Square with a $100 donation. Your images and messages will be a part of Beyond the Camouflage: Global Uniforms | Local Stories. This temporary exhibit showcases uniforms from across the globe and, throughout time to tell stories of Springfield, MO’s military community. Objects, artifacts, and documents from our collection and community partners tell the stories of local veterans. This exhibition is meant to not only serve military members and their families through direct representation and storytelling, but to do so with the utmost respect to the sacrifices they made to ensure our freedom. The History Museum wants to connect the rich history of military service from Southwest Missouri to our contemporary community.

When your donation is completed and processed, we will respond to the email you have provided and request an image to be uploaded.

 

Image Upload Eligibility:

Image files must be at least 800 pixels at its shortest side and the longest side must not be more than 1,800 pixels.

Image file names must follow this format: FirstName.LastName.ImageYear.jpg

By submitting an image, you agree to the following:

The History Museum on the Square has final editing determination on all messaging and captions. Any messages, language, or verbiage deemed inappropriate, obscene, or not in line with the nature of the exhibit will not be included in the exhibit. The History Museum on the Square will also edit typos, grammatical errors, and/or make corrections as deemed necessary.

By sending an email with an attached image, you are giving The History Museum on the Square permission to place it in the exhibit Military Uniform Exhibit, on our website, on social media, and place it in the museum’s digital archives.

I/We hereby irrevocably and unconditionally donate, give, grant, assign, deliver, convey, transfer and forever release to the History Museum on the Square, located in Springfield, Missouri, by way of gift, all rights (including intellectual property rights if applicable), title, and interest in and to the property described below

To the best of my knowledge, the Donor is the sole lawful owner of title to the Property (or the Donor is fully authorized by such owner) and has good and complete right, title, and interest including, unless otherwise specified, all transferred copyright, trademark, and related interest to give. The Donor further represents that the Property is free and clear from any and all encumbrances, that there has been no prior pledge, option or gift of any part thereof to any person, and that the Donor has the right to give or transfer the Property.

Conditions of Gift:

The materials are accepted by the History Museum on the Square to support the work of the museum and under the collection guidelines approved by the Board of Directors. Upon execution of this Deed of Gift, the Property irrevocably becomes the property of the History Museum on the Square. As such, the display, use, reproduction, maintenance, and disposition of the Property are at the History Museum on the Square’s sole and unrestricted discretion, in accordance with the History Museum on the Square’s policy and with applicable law.

In witness whereof, the parties have executed this Deed of Gift with full knowledge of and agreement with its terms and conditions.
