Archives

At the Karen Horny Center for Archives, paper materials like documents, photos, and ephemera are arranged, described, preserved, and stored to be used for research or included in future exhibits. The center also offers a space for researchers to study the museum's archival materials. If you would like to place a photo order, please contact Joan Hampton-Porter, History Museum on the Square Curator at joan@historymuseumonthesquare.org.

Collections

Designed to meet varied curatorial and museum needs, the Linda K. Robertson Curatorial Center is a modern and much-needed addition to the History Museum on the Square. In this workspace, our curator, along with student interns, process and conserve artifacts and create exhibits. For additional collections information contact Joan Hampton-Porter at joan@historymuseumonthesquare.org.

Museum Internships

The History Museum on the Square offers curatorial and archival internships or a combination of the two. Interning at the History Museum provides real-world, hands-on experience in the selected department(s) and a significant number of former interns have gone to work in related fields. Our internship program has been extremely active since 2004 with well over 100 undergraduate and graduate students participating from local and national universities.  For additional internship information, please contact info@historymuseumonthesquare.org.
