The History Museum on the Square is closed Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

Directions
The History Museum on the Square is located on historic Route 66 in the heart of downtown Springfield, Missouri. It is situated on the northeast corner of the public square. The museum is in easy reach of I-44, MO-13, MO-65, and MO-60.
Parking
There are several free parking options within walking distance from the museum. The closest free parking lots are located at the corner of Olive St. and Boonville Ave. There are two parking lots at that corner offering free 2-hour parking.
