Education on the Square provides field trips, traveling exploration trunks, and special programs to students of all ages.

History comes to life at the History Museum on the Square! The museum's trips, trunks, and talks help students connect with local and state history. Education offerings align with Missouri learning standards to aid teachers and build on traditional learning.

Field Trips

Bring your class, homeschool group, or youth group to the History Museum on the Square for a vibrant learning journey through Springfield’s history. These self-guided visits through the museum allow groups to move at their own pace through the different exhibits in the museum. Groups can explore the interactive galleries which provide a glimpse into what life was like in the past.
