The History Museum on the Square's Time Travelers Education Initiative provides field trips, traveling exploration trunks, and special programs to students of all ages.

History comes to life at the History Museum on the Square! The museum's trips, trunks, and talks help students connect with local and state history. Education offerings also align with Missouri learning standards to aid teachers and build on traditional learning.

If you are a Missouri K-12 educator and want to explore the museum before booking a field trip, traveling exploration trunk, or presentation, bring in your school ID and you will receive free admission to the History Museum on the Square!

Bring your class, homeschool group, or youth group to the History Museum on the Square for a vibrant learning journey through Springfield’s history. These self-guided visits through the museum allow groups to move at their own pace through the different exhibits in the museum. Groups can explore the interactive galleries and play games that provide a glimpse into what life was like in the past.
