Civics in Action: Voting and Beyond Panel
In honor of Presidents Day, join us in watching our Voting and Beyond panel led by Dr. Marlin Barber! The event was held in the Historic Fox Theatre, featuring Springfield leaders and professors from the City of Springfield, Missouri State University, and Drury University! Panelists discuss how to engage students and young people in voting, taking on leadership roles in local communities, preserving the legacies of local civic movements, and fostering intergenerational learning.
Explore these concepts further with the Civics in Action trunk – our newest addition to the History Museum on the Square’s Civics on the Square program, made possible by the Jeannette L. Musgrave Foundation’s Multi-Year Impact Grant for Student Citizenship and support by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. Reservations for the Civics in Action trunk can be made through our website.
