History Museum Offering Additional Online Content
SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— In addition to the History Museum on the Square’s spring break programming, the museum will be offering additional content available on Facebook Live and YouTube. Starting March 16 through March 20, we will upload videos from our archives to YouTube each day at 10 am and broadcast our Hands on History program on Facebook each day at 2 pm. The museum will remain open regular business hours and continue to follow recommendations of the Springfield-Greene County Health Department and CDC.
Statement on COVID-19
History Museum on the Square is committed to providing a healthy and clean environment for our guests. The museum will follow recommendations of the Springfield-Greene County Health Department and CDC. To help alleviate the growing fears regarding the COVID-19 virus, we are increasing our efforts! The museum is sanitized each morning and throughout the day as needed. As our staff moves through the building you’ll see them out in the galleries cleaning and sanitizing exhibits, handrails, elevator buttons, and countertop surfaces. The museum has handwashing stations on each floor and a hand sanitizer station at the front desk. During Hands on History, hand sanitizer will be available and all participants will be asked to use it. The museum is very interactive with lots of places to touch, so if you see something that needs immediate attention please stop by the front desk and let them know. We want your visit to exceed your expectations.
