July 2 – September 4, 2025 Year Four of the Series showcasing Roadside Gems: Rediscovering Route 66’s Cultural Attractions – Discover exciting attractions that made Springfield, MO region a popular stop on Route 66.

June 19 – September 8, 2024 Year three of the Series showcasing Checking In: Iconic Hotels & Motels of Route 66 discovers the stories of iconic lodgings along Route 66 that shaped our region, from charming cabins to landmark hotels.

August 2023 was year two of the Series showcasing Service with a Smile: Route 66 Service Stations celebrates the service stations and people who ran them along Route 66 in Springfield, Missouri.

August 2022 was year one of the Series showcasing Order Up! The Restaurants of Route 66. This exhibit celebrated some of the most popular places to grab a bite to eat in Greene County, Missouri, during the heyday of Route 66. A few of these restaurants are still open, while others, such as the elegant dining at the Colonial Hotel, have long since passed into history.
