The History Museum on the Square provides field trips, traveling exploration trunks, and special programs to students of all ages.
Traveling Exhibit Panels offer local students and community groups an opportunity to engage with Springfield and Greene County history displayed on pop-up panels and shared through digital educational resources. Information showcased includes historic timelines, information, and images of archival documents and photographs. Display rentals include access to additional resources, such as extended timelines, biographies, and videos.
Teachers renting a display will set up a time for pick up from the History Museum on the Square and drop it off when the rental is complete. A standard display rental is for 5 days, but can be extended for an additional fee.

This timeline was originally part of the exhibit Community Cornerstones: Springfield's Black Educators at the History Museum on the Square. It showcases national, state and local Black educational history through 4 pop-up panels.
Additional resources provided with a rental include: Sharing Memories of Community Cornerstones video featuring former Lincoln Students (M&G History Keepers) sharing their memories of Black Educators, Springfield's Black Educators biographies, and an extended timeline of Black educational history.
