Secrets of Springfield – Entering grades 3-6
Dates: July 13-17, 2026

Time Travelers – Entering grades 1-3

HOW TO REGISTER

Discounts available: 

  • Registering multiple kids? Families with two or more children signing up for the same week receive 10% off (restrictions apply). Before you purchase camp tickets, complete the sibling discount form and receive a coupon code upon approval!
  • Museum member? History Museum members receive 10% off summer camps (restrictions apply). Join today, and before you purchase camp tickets, reach out to [email protected] with “Summer Camp Membership Code” as the subject line to receive your coupon code!

There are 4 steps to registration:

  1. Purchase admission to the summer camp below! (Apply coupon code for siblings or museum members at checkout!)
  2. Click here to fill out the Summer Camp Registration Form for EACH child you are registering. You will have to submit multiple forms if you are registering multiple children.
  3. Click here to download and read the 2026 Handbook. This includes necessary info and will help prepare you and your camper for their week of camp.
  4. Click here to download the camp permission form. You must print, read, sign, and submit the Summer Camp Permission Form by the time of drop-off on the first day of camp.

FULL CAMP DESCRIPTIONS

Secrets of Springfield – Entering grades 3-6
Dates: July 13-17, 2026

Calling all treasure hunters and history buffs! Follow the clues and uncover the treasure buried deep in Springfield’s history. We will learn about the real history of Springfield’s most prominent figures and explore some of the area’s oldest buildings, as we journey together on a fictional treasure hunt through history in the style of the popular Hollywood film, National Treasure.

Springfield’s Superheroes – Entering grades 2-4
Dates: July 27-31, 2026

Discover your superpowers to make a difference in your community. Campers will undergo superhero training through exciting hands-on activities that teach them about Springfield and how to use their super-strengths to make their neighborhood a better place!

Time Travelers – Entering grades 1-3
Dates: August 10-14, 2026

It’s time to journey into the past in this fun, imagination-filled camp! Campers will become time travelers exploring different eras of history throughout the museum. Each day, campers “travel” to a new period, meeting fascinating people, discovering amazing artifacts, and trying hands-on activities from long ago. From pioneer days to the wild west and historic Route 66, young explorers will learn, create, and play to explore how people lived in the past.

2026 Policies

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Cancellations must be made at least 7 days in advance of the program/class start date to receive a refund or credit (processing fees from original payment may be non-refundable). Cancellations made less than 7 days in advance will not receive a refund.

ENSURING THE BEST EXPERIENCE FOR EVERYONE

  • If the camper requires any accommodations for participation, please notify HMS at least two weeks before the week the camper will attend.
  • There will be up to 20 kids per camp with at least a 1:10 adult-to-child ratio.
  • Students with behavior issues that disrupt the learning environment will be removed from camp without refund.
  • Camps are designed to start on time for all campers to get the most out of the day. We understand that delays happen, so please notify us. For significant delays, late fees may apply.
